Saturday Dec 27, 2008

Bill and Angie rode in the freezing cold (40 Degrees) to Lower Galoot in Snow Canyon.  We thought we had frost bite of the toes and fingers but it was a false alarm.  The picture was taken and the Southern entrance to the Park with Island in the Sky in the background by the volunteer ranger helper Anna.  Guess she didn't know Bill was there even if she was using his camera phone.   They won't do that again, till next time anyway.

December 13

The ride up Snow Canyon today,12-13-08, was done by Bill and Angie.  Made it from the sand dunes to the top in 26 min 43 sec  and 27 min 10 sec.  Again you will have to guess who had the shortest time.  This shot is in front of the ranger station at the top of the canyon.  At 9:30 to 12:00 noon the weather was perfect.  (Hit a couple of garage sales on the way).   The other picture is Angie on the rocks just west of the Sand Dunes on the way back down.

December 11

A five mile run took place on Thursday, 12-11-08 on the new Cottonwood Wash Trail in Washington.  Just mean Angie.  No one else.  We got tired so we found this old tractor and finished up on it.  That is Angie driving and me on the front fender.

December 1

Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away...I mean yesterday Angie and I went on an "Exploration " trail run over by the Virgin River south east of Washington and north of the Damm Washington Rd,  er a the Washington Dam Rd.   4 1/2 miles.  Part of it was along the river and part of it was on a trail similiar to the Bloomington Loop terrain we do on our bikes.   This is a shot of Angie.    I am sending several pictures taken of the area which was very interesting and unique

Bill along the Virgin River

Agent oh oh siete coming out of the thicket from the river.

Bill on the single track trail through the Bloomington Loop like soil and terrain.

Two monsters at the side of the trail

Damm Angie,    I mean damsel in distress about to be eaten by rock monster.

Unique artistry by mother nature being modeled by nature loving A. Nelson

Just a hunch, but here is another rock monster about to have its lunch.

November 27

Bill and Angela went to the hills above Washington by
the water tank and beyond and back by the dinasauer tracks in a light
sprinkle part of the time.  It was delightful.  Got in five miles.  The
picture is of Bill carrying out a couple of beautiful rocks he and Angela
found they could not live without.

November 29th

Twenty miler to Bloomington and over to the convention center and back up Indian Hills Dr.   The shot is on the bridge with the Webb Hill trail seen in the background, one at Aunt Noelle's house, and one on the Virgin River Trail.  Tammy Heap, Bill Richey and Angelea Nelson were the only ones to show up.

November 25

Bill and Angie were the only ones who showed up. We rode up Snow Canyon hill and down the trail parrelling Hwy 18.  You will have to guess who got to the top first.  We reaced from the Sand Dunes to see if we were as good as the Senior Games cyclists.  We weren't but we are going to get there.
