North Snow Canyon Entrance to Santa Clara Volcano

This was a 4 mile run in 1.5 hours with an elevation gain of about 800 feet (the volcano is 4800 and the marathon course says that the Snow Canyon intersection is 4000 feet). We saw 12 head of deer (2 bucks) while running on the backside. The picture of Bill was taken after 1.5 miles and coming back out on the ridge directly above where we started. We didn't quite make it to the volcano because of time constraints and cut down into the wash just before the last climb.
