Why impetus? The things in this blog, the fun we have doing them together, and the way they are accomplished is what motivates us to do these things. The benifits are an added bonus.

Sand Dune parking lot up Hackberry Wash to Bill's Chute and back
We finally got a picture of Rochelle; Bill and her are on top of a lava perch after coming out of the wash and scrambling straight up a sandstone hill. This run was 6 miles and we did it in 2 hrs.
We are group that started as trail runners. Led by our un-elected, but well supported, leader Bill (aka Biligoat) we head out to enjoy the outdoors. We don't like to run on the hard pavement and beat our feet while dulling our mind. Getting off the beaten path and exploring while exercising is our game. We also ride bike, swim, hike, scramble, etc. Most have a run a marathon, done a triathlon, or both; the rest are training to do one (even if they don't know it yet).
